Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is the Canadian Rockies newest ski resort and the most
significant new ski area developed in Canada in recent times. Located in the heart of Canadian Rocky powder country, the resort is nestled between the Rocky, Purcell and Selkirk
Mountain ranges and is ideally situated to produce a sparkling, light and dry snow, aptly
named "Champagne Powder".

This multi award winning resort is already legendary for it's ski terrain which offers wide open bowls with runs for all levels, powder stacked tree skiing and double black diamond runs… if you dare! Terrain that used to be available only to heli-skiers is now accessible via The Golden Eagle Express Gondola that comfortably whisks skiers and riders in just 12 minutes to the third highest vertical decent in Canada (4,133ft) and an abundance of natural
amenities. While this sounds appealing to extremists, fear not. A full 45% of the runs are rated for the advanced skier/rider, 15% for expert, 20% for intermediate and 20% best suit the
beginner.  Midway down in the bowls gentler runs lead down to the lifts or to the lower
mountain where there are loads of mellow slopes for all standards The varied terrain offers a winter playground for those new to alpine adventure and the perfect opportunity for adrenaline junkies to charge down a 4,000 ft ski out. For those who wish to rise above their current skill level, experienced ski school instructors are there to help. Other winter activities include heli-skiing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, dog sledding and snowshoeing.

A highlight of a stay at Kicking Horse would have to be an evening meal at Canada's loftiest
restaurant The Eagles Eye atop the gondola at 7,700 ft. The ride is fun, and views amazing,
whilst the restaurant has the best mountain dining ever. Book early!  Other resort facilities
include the Day Lodge where skiers go to enjoy a steaming latte and a hearty bagel, a retail
shop, ski & snowboard rental shop, ski school, kids camp and child activity programmes.
From winter adventure travel to a family-oriented vacation, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will
offer something for everyone.
