Located just two hours from New York City in the Catskill Mountains Hunter Mountain is ideal for those wishing to combine the sights, sounds and shops of the Big Apple with convenient skiing. The resort is split into three mountains, Hunter One, Hunter Mountain and Hunter West with intermediate and expert skiers particularly enjoying Hunter West's black and double black
diamond runs. There are 240 acres of skiable terrain with 11 lifts, and almost all runs are covered by snow making facilities. A few miles from Hunter Mountain is the neighbouring resort of Windham Mountain and therefore you'll have the opportunity to try two resorts during your stay. At Windham there is night skiing, 46 runs and 98% snow making coverage all at a top elevation of 3,100 feet. We recommend 3 nights in New York City and 4 nights in the Catskills (ideally Monday-Thursday to avoid the weekend ski demand). However, we will happily tailor-make an itinerary to suit your requirements.
