Heavenly

Area: California

Heavenly Ski Resort offers scenic beauty.... overlooking the south shore of Lake Tahoe.
It's ideal for beginners and advanced skiers alike.

Heavenly Ski Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at Monument Peak,
straddling the state line between California and Nevada. Overlooking the south shore of
beautiful Lake Tahoe, Heavenly's slopes cross the Californian border into Nevada making it the
only major bi-state ski resort in the United States. It's vast; with 17 lifts in California and 12 lifts in Nevada, Heavenly has no less than 4800 skiable acres draped across the mountain.
Few ski resorts match Heavenly's superior scenic beauty, terrain, trails and snowmaking.

From advanced backcountry skiing and moguls to long intermediate cruisers and chutes to the
gentle slopes of the beginner areas, Heavenly has variety for skiers of all abilities. Heavenly
features a boarder cross trail, three terrain parks (advanced, intermediate, and beginner), and a
half-pipe, as well as several terrain features built around the mountain regularly.

Heavenly's high-altitude Adventure Peak Snow Park is located at the top of the Gondola. The
first part of the adventure is simply getting there! The 2.4-mile ride up the mountainside in the
Gondola is one trip you'll never forget.  The second part of the adventure is the park itself,
complete with snow tubing, sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and a 25 ft rock climbing wall!

A vast amount of daytime activities are to found around Heavenly including natural hot springs,
ice fishing, hot air ballooning, sleigh ridges and outlet shopping. For the inevitable hunger that
follows prolonged blissful skiing, you'll find Cafe Blue, midway between lake and sky (and first
stop on the Gondola), an al fresco dining paradise with views to match; or take a break at the top of the Gondola for a sandwich hot off the grill at the Adventure Peak Grill.
