Deer Valley is a purpose built village where skier convenience is paramount; the end result is perhaps the ultimate, high-end ski only experience in America.
The resort was built on a foundation of excellence in service, and where no effort is spared to ensure that Deer Valley's discerning guests have little to think about. It is known for its attention to detail in every aspect – from smartly uniformed (and helpful) on-mountain employees to ski valets who warm your boots, to meticulous expanses of perfectly groomed corduroy slopes, to gourmet cuisine at ten on-mountain restaurants (two Deer Valley establishments have been rated by the respected Zagat guide among "America's Top Restaurants"). Such high levels of quality of course comes with a price tag and all accommodation is rated in the luxury class, however when you consider the quality of what Deer Valley consistently delivers to its guests then the resort represents excellent value for money.
Deer Valley Resort Mountain has 19 lifts serving its 1,750 acres of Utah powder, there is a limit
on skier numbers with resort and hotel guests of course taking priority - so there are never long
waits, and the mountain is never, ever crowded. Ski grooming is almost considered an art form,
and although Deer Valley is best suited for intermediate skiers, the quality of the mountain is such that the resort was the site of the slalom and freestyle mogul and aerial events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The Tri-Area Ski Pass covers not only Deer Valley, but also all of the lifts at nearby Park City and the excellent Canyons resort.
Fine dining and refined 'fireside' après-ski is the signature for evenings in Deer Valley, however
less than 2 miles along the valley in decidedly vibrant Park City, Main Street is home to more than 100 eateries, bars and clubs, many with live music. |
